Valentine's with a twist

Funny valentine's cards online

I don't know about you, but I am pretty fed up with all the Valentine's madness! Seriously, can someone explain to me what the hype is about? And EVERYONE is on the band wagon, out to make a buck (or 5 million).

We are here to serve and in this case - serve you with a few quirky and fresh V-day cards you can share with your honey.

Our pleasure

High fives all round...

Movie Review: Star Wars, The Force Awakens

star-wars-force-awakens-movie-review

As a big Star Wars fan, I was apprehensive about another Star Wars movie, as the last three were not as great as the ‘first’ three. If you don’t know that there has been six already, you are probably not a big fan, or your friends and family have neglected your cultural upbringing. Everyone should see the Star Wars series, at least once, and a newbie may have the privilege of watching them in the correct (incorrect) order.

Spectre Movie Review

Spectre Movie Review

Another James Bond movie, hooray!

Since Ian Fleming’s death in 1964, many authors have been writing Bond novels to lesser and greater success. The latest, Spectre, was written by no less than four screenwriters: John Logan, Robert Wade, Jez Butterworth and Neal Purvis. They pulled out all the stops to bring us the Bond that we know and love: the suave, super macho, little smiling secret agent who saves the world from global war and rescues the damsels in distress, hardly creasing his suit, and always being the gentleman.

#FeesMustFall - Yes, but...

#FeesMustFall debate

South Africans have come to know that striking for a cause can have legal and long-term results. Very often, the outcomes are not as positive as the strikers intended, and sometimes, very seldom, a protest can have fresh, far-reaching effects. Such was the case with the #FeesMustfall protests of the past week in South Africa.

Come on Bokke!

World Cup Rugby Opinion SA vs NZ

A Duane Vermeulen breakaway from the scrum to the blindside saw us through, Du Preez the recipient of his off-load and scored in the corner to give us a close victory over the Welsh team.  We scraped through against the Dragons, only just, and maybe with a few scars on our psyche and ultimately our hopes to put away the All Blacks in the now confirmed Twickenham semi-final.
